Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Site Civil Engineer role based in the Greater Chennai Area. The Site Civil Engineer will oversee day-to-day civil works at project sites, ensuring that construction follows approved designs, specifications, and safety standards. Responsibilities include coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors; monitoring project progress; verifying materials and workmanship; and resolving technical issues on site. The role also involves reviewing civil drawings, checking levels and layouts, and supporting site planning, stormwater management, and infrastructure works. The Site Civil Engineer will prepare site reports, maintain documentation, and assist in quality assurance and compliance with relevant regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering Design, with practical exposure to building and infrastructure projects.
- Experience working as part of a Civil Engineers team, contributing to site coordination, structural safety, and execution of civil works.
- Skills in Planning of site activities, resource allocation, and scheduling to support timely and efficient project delivery.
- Knowledge of Stormwater Management and related drainage systems for building and site development projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting civil and architectural drawings; familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Ability to work on-site full time, with attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with multidisciplinary teams; prior experience with architectural firms or building projects is an advantage.
