We are seeking a highly capable Simulation Engineer / Electrical Engineer to work on advanced power system studies, industrial automation systems, real-time simulation environments, and grid reliability enhancement for utility and industrial infrastructure. The role requires strong expertise in electrical system analysis, simulation-driven validation, SCADA integration, PLC-based automation, industrial communication systems, and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing within transmission, distribution, and industrial environments.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize electrical system models, control architectures, and industrial automation workflows for utility and industrial applications.
- Perform detailed power system studies including load flow analysis, short-circuit analysis, fault level calculations, contingency studies, and protection coordination.
- Conduct grid stability and power quality assessments including harmonic analysis, voltage regulation, transient response, reliability evaluation, and energy efficiency optimization.
- Work extensively with real-time digital simulation environments and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) platforms for validation of protection schemes, industrial controllers, and automation systems.
- Design and validate simulation testbeds for electrical networks, SCADA systems, industrial automation workflows, and grid operational scenarios.
- Analyze and review Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, protection logic, control panel layouts, and interlocking systems to ensure compliance, operational safety, and system reliability.
- Design, configure, commission, and maintain SCADA and industrial monitoring systems for real-time operational visibility and centralized control.
- Integrate SCADA systems with PLCs, RTUs, IEDs, meters, and intelligent field devices to enable seamless communication and operational monitoring.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC programs using IEC 61131-3 standards including Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), Structured Text (ST), and Sequential Function Chart (SFC).
- Implement and debug industrial communication protocols including MODBUS TCP/IP, MODBUS RTU, DNP3, IEC 61850, PROFIBUS, OPC, IEC-101, and IEC-104.
- Perform operational data analysis, fault-event investigations, and disturbance analysis to identify abnormal system behavior and improve reliability.
- Support simulation-driven validation of industrial control systems, automation architectures, and power system protection workflows.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for electrical, automation, and communication system failures to minimize downtime and improve operational performance.
- Collaborate on advanced R&D activities involving smart grid technologies, digital substations, industrial automation systems, and real-time simulation frameworks.
- Prepare and review technical documentation including simulation reports, protection studies, commissioning reports, operational procedures, and system validation documents.
