About the role

About Us: Simon Wiesenthal Center (SWC) is a global Jewish human rights organization that confronts anti-Semitism and hate, defends the safety of Israel and Jews worldwide, and teaches the lessons of the Holocaust through awareness, advocacy, justice, education, and its Museums of Tolerance. With a constituency of over 400,000 member families since its founding in 1977, the SWC has an international footprint through its Museums of Tolerance, Moriah Films, and the Digital Terrorism + Hate Project. Headquartered in Los Angeles, it maintains operations in New York, Chicago, Miami, Toronto, Paris, Berlin, Jerusalem, and Buenos Aires. It is an accredited Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations, UNESCO, the Organization of American States, the Latin American Parliament, and the Council of Europe and maintains relationships with the highest levels of governments throughout the world. In 1993, the Center opened the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to worldwide acclaim. The Museum has served as the Center's flagship educational arm, challenging visitors to confront bigotry and racism, and to understand the Holocaust in both historical and contemporary contexts. In addition, the Center developed Moriah Media to produce theatrical documentaries to educate global audiences. Moriah has produced 17 documentaries to date, two of which have received the Academy Award for best feature documentary, The Long Way Home and Genocide. Position Overview: The Simon Wiesenthal Center is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Data Analyst with a strong background in nonprofit data systems and fundraising analytics. This role will play a key part in leveraging data to inform and optimize the Center's fundraising and donor engagement strategies. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of working within nonprofit organizations, using data to enhance development efforts, donor segmentation, and campaign outcomes. They will be responsible for developing reports and dashboards, analyzing giving trends, and delivering actionable insights that support the organization's philanthropic goals. Key Responsibilities: Data Analysis & Reporting Build and maintain dashboards, queries, and reports to support the needs of the development team and other departments. Analyze donor giving patterns, campaign performance, and membership engagement to identify key trends and opportunities. Deliver accurate, accessible reports to drive strategic decisions around donor retention, acquisition, and upgrades. Ensure data accuracy and integrity across platforms, including identifying data discrepancies and recommending improvements. Fundraising & Donor Engagement Strategy Collaborate with fundraising teams to develop segmentation strategies and data-informed outreach plans. Provide insights into donor behavior to support targeted annual fund campaigns, major donor cultivation, and stewardship initiatives. Translate complex data into clear visualizations and recommendations to guide campaign planning and strategic decisions. Nonprofit Development Support Leverage experience in nonprofit CRM and fundraising environments to improve workflows, data hygiene, and reporting best practices. Support campaign tracking and performance reporting across multiple channels (direct mail, digital, social, events). Work cross-functionally with teams including Development, Membership, and Communications to align data strategies with organizational goals.
