We are now introducing major initiatives along with Launch of leading Sim-Racing hardware brands in India!
We are seeking to hire an accomplished Simulator Operations Manager who will be responsible for the physical readiness, hardware management, and on-ground operational excellence of the SIMR Ecosystem Initiatives's across all India activations.
The ideal candidate is expected to be hands-on, technically adept, and a reliable executor who is enthusiastic about Sim-Racing and live event logistics. You will bring precision, ownership, and operational discipline to TECHXHUB's fast-growing sim-racing event business. Experience in managing gaming hardware, AV production setups, or esports event logistics is preferable. Sim-racing enthusiasts and those with a deep understanding of simulator hardware & set-ups are highly desirable.
Responsibilities
• Oversee procurement, storage, maintenance, and transportation of TECHXHUB's SIMR Ecosystem Initiatives fleet across Indian event cities.
• Develop and enforce a comprehensive rig setup SOP for every event format — including cockpit assembly, display calibration, wheel and pedal alignment, and cable management.
• Supervise the freelance logistics crew of 4-5 people per event during load-in and ensure all 20 rigs are fully race-ready before doors open.
• Build and maintain a complete hardware inventory log tracking all components, spare parts, wear items, and replacement schedules.
• Train and brief sim marshal teams (5 per event) on rig operation, reset protocols, participant management, and hardware fault escalation.
• Coordinate rig resets between participant sessions and manage participant queue flow in collaboration with sim marshals.
• Act as the first responder for all hardware failures during live events — diagnose, troubleshoot, and restore rigs with minimal downtime.
• Liaise with the Technical Lead to ensure hardware and software environments are synchronized and event-ready.
• Manage relationships with sim rig rental vendors and evaluate opportunities to transition to fleet ownership to reduce per-event costs.
• Evaluate and recommend hardware upgrades, new rig models, and peripheral improvements aligned with SIMR.gg's premium experience standards.
• Collaborate with the Event Manager to align operational timelines with the overall event plan.
Qualifications
• High Energy and Enthusiastic Team Player with a proven background in hardware operations, gaming setup, or live event production.
• Strong sense of urgency, attention to detail, and ability to manage physical logistics under time pressure.
• Hands-on familiarity with sim-racing hardware — including cockpit frames, direct drive wheels, load-cell pedals, and racing displays.
• Strong ability to build SOPs, manage field teams, and hold the crew accountable to quality standards.
• Enjoy working in a fast-paced, physically demanding, and event-driven work environment.
• 2+ years of experience in hardware operations, esports event logistics, AV production, or gaming equipment management.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for coordinating multi-person event crews.
• Willingness to travel across India for event activations and comfortable with extended event-day hours.
