About the role

SALARY RANGE: $23.00 -$25.00 per hour. The On Call Pastry Cook II is responsible for the production of baked goods and pastry preparation for banquets events and all F&B Outlets as well as taking a lead in various assignments and stations.

 

Essential Functions

  • Must adhere to the company’s Service culture – 4 Keys to creating guests for life. 
  • Must actively participate in team member referral program and be a Talent Ambassador for Silverado Resort.
  • Must participate in all resort required meetings and trainings.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform/business attire and nametag.
  • Participates in production and quality of baked goods such as breakfast pastries, breads, cakes, cold desserts, and other various pastries to meet resorts’ standards.
  • Must be able to follow the recipes and measure the ingredients correctly.
  • Operates all commercial kitchen equipment and bake shop equipment correctly and in a safe manner.
  • Responsible for individual BEO and/or single outlet production
  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation at workstation and other work areas.
  • Assist in training new employees, as needed.
  • Abide by all resort policies and safety rules.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in a resort or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in Pastry/Bakery is required.
  • In compliance with California laws, Current Food Handlers Certification is required.

 

Work Conditions and Schedule

  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Medium work - Exerting up to 75 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. This can involve bending, kneeling, or stooping.
  • Must be able to stand during entire shift.
  • Must be able to withstand temperature variations both hot and cold.
  • Must be able to work outdoors.
