The Commercial Business Development Director is responsible for driving net-new revenue across enterprise Value Added Reseller (VAR) solutions and SMB managed IT services, while building and leading a scalable commercial sales team. This is a senior, quota-carrying role with a clear path into broader sales leadership.
The role focuses on profitable growth, solution-based selling, and disciplined execution across both project-based VAR and recurring managed services.
Location
San Antonio, TX (in-person) with regular customer site visits. Travel will be required depending on customer location.

Essential Role and Responsibilities
- Generate net-new revenue through VAR and managed IT services sales
- Own full sales lifecycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, and close
- Sell at the executive level (CIO, CFO, COO, Owner)
- Maintain pricing discipline and margin protection
- Recruit, coach, and manage future business development reps
- Establish repeatable sales motions and pipeline discipline
- Partner with marketing, pre-sales, and service delivery for clean handoffs
Qualifications
- 7–10+ years in B2B technology sales (VAR, MSP, or hybrid)
- Proven success selling both project-based and recurringtechnologyservices
- Strong financial and margin awareness
- Prior experience building or leading sales teams preferred
Compensation
- Base salary + uncapped commission
- Commission Structure:
- 20% of Gross Profit on VAR sales
- 1x Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) on managed services

- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
