Whom we are looking for:
We are looking for an exceptional collaborative Roku Developer with at least 5 years of experience to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Roku streaming applications using BrightScript and SceneGraph.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend teams to deliver high-quality media experiences.
- Optimize application performance for fast loading, smooth playback, and low memory usage.
- Debug and troubleshoot application issues across multiple Roku device generations.
- Integrate with third-party APIs, ad platforms, analytics SDKs, and content delivery networks (CDNs).
- Stay up to date with Roku platform updates and industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality and documentation standards.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in Roku development
- Strong proficiency in BrightScript and SceneGraph
- Experience with the Roku SDK, ECP, and custom video players
- Solid understanding of streaming media formats (HLS, DASH), DRM, and adaptive bitrate streaming
- Familiarity with ad insertion (VAST, VPAID), analytics (Conviva, Google Analytics, etc.)
- Background in the media, advertising, or broadcast industry
- Experience with cross-platform OTT frameworks (e.g., Lightning, React Native for TV, or similar)
- Strong debugging skills with Roku Developer Tools and device logs
- Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
