Platform Engineer

As a Platform Engineer at SigNoz, you will play a critical role in building and scaling our distributed tracing and application performance monitoring (APM) platform. You will work closely with our engineering team to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable distributed systems that power our core product features. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability, performance, and scalability of our platform, which is relied upon by engineering teams around the world. Your Responsibilities: - Design and implement reliable, scalable, and high-performance distributed systems and microservices - Contribute to the development and maintenance of our core platform components, including data ingestion, storage, and analysis pipelines - Optimize system performance, reliability, and observability - Automate and streamline infrastructure and deployment processes - Participate in on-call rotations and incident response - Mentor and collaborate with other engineers to share knowledge and best practices Required Skills and Experience: - 3+ years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems - Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Go, Rust, Python, Java) - Hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes - Strong understanding of distributed systems principles, including consistency, availability, and partition tolerance - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment tools (e.g., AWS, GCP, Terraform, Ansible) - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
