Role Overview

DevOps Engineer enables and enhances the day-to-day operational workflows of critical applications and services in a 24/7/365 environment located in cloud data centers. He/she continuously improves application observability to ensure the uptime and reliability of our applications and infrastructure. Moreover, he/she is responsible for releasing our company's builds. This includes designing, developing, maintaining, tooling, and delivering the process.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor the processes during the entire product lifecycle and update or create new processes for improvement
• Build tools to reduce the occurrence of errors and improve customer experience
• Use of source code control systems, versioning, branching and merging, configuration, build management, artifact repositories, automated build tools, automated testing frameworks
• Create/maintain Docker containers and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes)
• Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors, incident management
• Encourage and build automated processes wherever possible
• Create detailed incident reports
• Create dashboards and KPIs for continuous monitoring
• Coordinate and communicate with the team and with customers
• Strive for continuous improvement and build (CI/CD Pipeline)
• Select and deploy appropriate CI/CD and monitoring automation tools
• Build Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• Work with software developers to ensure that development follows established processes
  
  

Skills And Qualifications

• 2-3 years proven experience in DevOps, or related position (eg. SRE)
• Proven working experience on Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery procedures and tools (eg. Azure, Jenkins, Github CI), since you will be maintaining and supporting automated build pipelines
• A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• An MSc in related fields would be an asset
• Experience with, or understanding of, source code control systems, versioning, branching and merging, configuration, build management, artifact repos, automated build tools, automated testing frameworks, and automated deployment frameworks
• Extensive experience in monitoring and metrics systems (Prometheus, Logstash, Grafana, Dynatrace, Datadog, pref. Azure app insights)
• Experience with programming languages (ASP.NET, .NET Core)
• Experience in scripting (Bash, Powershell, Python, etc.)
• Familiarity with database technologies (KQL, MSSQL/PostgreSQL)
• Experience or knowledge with one or more Infrastructure as code tools such as Ansible, Chef, Terraform
• Ability to work as part of a distributed team
• Very good knowledge of the English language, written and oral
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work normally under pressure
• Good interpersonal relationships
• Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision
