Overview of the role
The SIAM Vendor Management role is responsible for managing multiple IT service providers and making sure they deliver as agreed.
The role focuses on performance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across all vendors.
The SIAM Vendor manager will manage outcomes, behavior, and delivery from vendors.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Governance & Performance
- Act as the single governance point ensuring vendors follow the SIAM model and agreed ways of working.
- Drive crossvendor accountability through regular governance forums and performance reviews.
- Monitor SLAs/KPIs, challenge gaps, and ensure corrective actions are closed.
2. Contract & SLA Adherence
- Ensure vendor delivery aligns with contractual scope and SLA commitments.
- Monitor SLA breaches and support remediation, penalties, and renewals.
- Coordinate between commercial, legal, and service teams as needed.
3. CrossVendor Incident & Issue Oversight
- Lead coordination during major incidents involving multiple vendors.
- Ensure effective collaboration, quality RCA, and preventive actions.
- Reduce repeat incidents through structured issue management.
4. Risk, Compliance & Control
- Identify and manage vendorrelated operational and service risks.
- Ensure vendor compliance with process, security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Support audits and drive closure of vendorrelated findings.
5. Vendor Transition & Onboarding
- Govern onboarding and transition of vendors and services into SIAM.
- Ensure alignment to SIAM processes, ITSM tools, reporting, and governance.
- Enable smooth handovers between outgoing and incoming suppliers.
6. Continuous Service Improvement (CSI)
- Drive vendorled improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Promote standardization and automation to improve stability and quality.
- Track and report measurable improvement benefits.
7. Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with vendor and customer stakeholders.
- Communicate service health, risks, and escalations clearly and effectively.
- Maintain trust while consistently enforcing accountability.
Experience & Background
- IT Service Management
- Vendor Management
- SIAM / MultiSupplier environments
- Experience managing global or large enterprise vendors
- Exposure to infrastructure, applications, or blended services
Certifications (Preferred)
- ITIL v4 Foundation / Managing Professional
SIAM Foundation or Professional
