Key Responsibilities:
1. Coal Receiving & Unloading
- Operate and monitor wagon tipplers / truck unloading systems.
- Ensure proper unloading of coal without spillage or loss.
- Coordinate with logistics and weighbridge teams.
2. Coal Handling System Operation
- Run and supervise equipment like:
- Belt conveyors
- Crushers
- Screens
- Stacker & reclaimer systems
- Ensure smooth coal flow from yard to bunker.
3. Equipment Monitoring
- Check equipment health (vibration, noise, overheating).
- Identify blockages, misalignment, or abnormal conditions.
- Report faults to maintenance teams.
4. Housekeeping & Safety
- Maintain cleanliness of CHP area to prevent fire hazards.
- Follow safety procedures (PPE, lockout/tagout).
- Handle dust suppression and fire-fighting systems.
5. Bunker & Boiler Feeding
- Ensure proper coal feeding to bunkers.
- Maintain required bunker levels for uninterrupted boiler operation.
6. Routine Inspection & Maintenance Support
- Conduct shift-wise inspections and log readings.
- Assist maintenance during breakdowns and shutdowns.
