Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shuttering Carpenter located in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region. The Shuttering Carpenter will be responsible for constructing, assembling, and dismantling formwork for structures such as beams, slabs, columns, and walls. Other responsibilities include reading and interpreting blueprints, measuring and cutting materials to specifications, ensuring structural consistency and safety, and working collaboratively with the construction team to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction blueprints and technical drawings
- Skilled in operating tools and equipment required for woodworking, cutting, and erecting formwork
- Ability to measure materials accurately and perform layout tasks for structural components
- Knowledge of safety protocols and guidelines in a construction environment
- Experience in scaffold construction, assembly, and dismantling is a plus
- Physical fitness to handle labor-intensive tasks, along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience in civil or mechanical construction is advantageous
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in carpentry is preferred
