About the role

Position Summary

Join our team in a fast-paced, employee-owned manufacturing environment where people are at the center of everything we do. As an HR Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the employees who bring our products to life. From welcoming new hires on their first day to helping keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes, you’ll be at the heart of the employee experience.

In addition to core administrative responsibilities, this role will take the lead on cross-team initiatives, support internal communications, and assist with reporting and special projects. This position requires a high level of confidentiality, strong judgment, and the ability to stay organized and responsive in a dynamic environment.


Essential Functions

  • Assist with internal and external recruitment, including posting jobs, conducting phone screens, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
  • Support onboarding and facilitate new hire orientation
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases accurately
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures; escalate complex issues as needed
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies
  • Support internal communications, including emails, announcements, digital signage, company hub updates, and HR-related messaging
  • Run workforce and HR reports; summarize and share key insights
  • Coordinate sponsorship meetings and prepare supporting materials
  • Assist with planning and executing events such as open enrollment, employee meetings, and engagement activities
  • Conduct HR audits to ensure proper documentation and compliance
  • Serve as backup for the receptionist when needed
  • Complete employment verifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to work independently, exhibit sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) with a willingness to expand skills
  • Experience with HRIS systems (UKG preferred but not required)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus, but not required

Work Schedule

Regular Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Friday: 7:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Overtime:

  • As needed outside of regular operating hours/pending on production needs
