About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Backend Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will take full ownership of backend development and infrastructure, playing a crucial part in building and scaling robust systems that power our products. You’ll work closely with AI/ML engineers to create and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs that integrate advanced AI capabilities into our platform.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient backend services and APIs
2. Collaborate with AI/ML teams to develop robust, production-grade pipelines
3. Ensure high performance, security, and availability of backend systems
4. Take ownership of the backend architecture and drive improvements in system scalability and maintainability
5. Write clean, testable, and efficient code
6. Monitor, debug, and troubleshoot production systems
7. Contribute to engineering best practices and technical decision-making

Requirements

1. Proven experience as a backend engineer, with a solid understanding of backend architectures
2. Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js)
3. Experience with API design and integration (RESTful or GraphQL)
4. Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
5. Exposure to working with large-scale data or ML pipelines is a strong plus
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team
7. Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL)

Nice to Have

1. Experience working with AI/ML teams or data-heavy products
2. Background in designing scalable microservices
3. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes
4. Previous experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment
