About the RoleWe are hiring a Shopify Tech Lead to own the entire Shopify ecosystem and product tech infrastructure.
This is not a theme customization role- You will be responsible for building scalable systems, improving conversion, and enabling future platform capabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Own and manage the complete Shopify architecture and ecosystem
- Build custom solutions beyond themes (APIs, apps, integrations, headless if required)
- Develop and scale C2C platform capabilities
- Build authentication & verification systems/portal
- Retention journeys and WhatsApp API integrations
- Payments, wallets, and transaction flows
- Optimize checkout, cart recovery, and retention systems
- Improve site performance, speed, and conversion rates
- Work closely with marketing and product teams to align tech with revenue goals
- Ensure proper integration of tracking, analytics, and growth tools
Qualifications & Experience- 4-8 years of experience in Shopify / eCommerce development
- Strong expertise in Shopify (Liquid, APIs, app ecosystem)
- Proven experience building custom Shopify solutions beyond themes
- Experience in D2C startups or high-growth environments
- Understanding of conversion optimization and user behavior
- Experience with high AOV / premium products preferred
