About The Role

As a Senior Account Executive in Large Accounts, you are the driving force behind establishing new relationships with key prospects within your Book of Business. You will leverage your expertise in sales craft to help future customers understand how Shopify is uniquely positioned to address their current state pain while also setting them up for incremental long-term success.

This is a senior role, and requires an “all-in” mindset to deliver against your territory goals.

What You'll Get To Do

  • Work with some of the most exciting brands on the planet.
  • Identify, engage, and close new large account opportunities within your territory.
  • Develop and refine a sales playbook to educate CXOs on Shopify’s value, facilitating large, complex evaluations alongside Solution Engineers, Partners, Sales Enablement, Legal, Product, and Finance teams.
  • Design and implement multi-product pipeline generation strategies in collaboration with sales, marketing, partnerships, and event teams.
  • Action those strategies & build a strong, workable 3x pipeline that will help you deliver on your quarterly performance goals
  • Build influential relationships with C-level executives & key decision-makers in large companies.
  • Analyze market trends and competition to inform strategy and drive sales initiatives.
  • Always-on learning: product updates, macro-economics, customer pain points, Shopify GTM narrative. Be prepared to move fast & embrace continuous improvement in the spirit of better serving your customers & driving your pipeline forward.
  • Consistent & Precise Forecasting - being in command of the health of your business is critical.


What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability to generate multi-product pipeline and drive complex sales evaluations.
  • Strong forecasting skills with a track record of setting and achieving ambitious goals.
  • Strong business acumen & executive presence
  • Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience in developing and executing sales plans and strategies to drive business growth & deliver consistently on target.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret customer data along with market insights to inform sales decisions.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic sales environment.
  • Continuous learner with a growth mindset, staying updated on industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Proven track record of success in sales, particularly within the B2B enterprise space.
  • Strong understanding of e-commerce, technology, and the challenges faced by large businesses.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to varied audiences.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding targets.
  • Strong internal cross-collaborator with a team-first mentality.
