About the RoleWe’re hiring a Shopify Lead Developer / Solution Architect who combines deep technical expertise with business thinking.
This is a hands-on leadership role - you’ll design solutions, guide teams, and actively contribute to development when needed. You should be comfortable owning both architecture decisions and critical code execution.
You’ll work with international B2C brands, building scalable Shopify ecosystems that directly impact growth and conversion.
What You’ll DoHands-on Development & Architecture
- Lead development of complex Shopify builds on Shopify Plus
- Architect scalable solutions across themes, apps, and integrations
- Write and review high-quality code (Liquid, JS, APIs)
- Step in on critical features, debugging, and performance bottlenecks
Technical Leadership
- Guide developers and technical consultants with clear direction
- Define coding standards, architecture patterns, and best practices
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality delivery
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Work directly with international clients (US, UK, EU, APAC)
- Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Act as the bridge between business, product, and engineering
CRO & Business Impact
- Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives
- Improve site performance, UX, and checkout experience
- Align technical decisions with revenue and growth goals
Integrations & Ecosystem
- Design and implement integrations (ERP, CRM, OMS, marketing tools)
- Work with Shopify APIs, webhooks, and app ecosystem
- Evaluate and implement third-party solutions vs custom builds
Must-Have Requirements- 8–12+ years experience in eCommerce / web development
- Strong hands-on expertise in Shopify Plus
- Deep knowledge of Liquid, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, Shopify APIs
- Proven experience working with international clients
- Experience with large / global eCommerce brands (preferred)
- Strong understanding of B2C retail journeys & CRO
- Ability to own both architecture and hands-on delivery
- Immediately available or short notice
Good to Have- Experience with headless commerce (Hydrogen, storefront APIs)
- Experience building custom Shopify apps
- Familiarity with performance tools, analytics, and A/B testing
- Prior agency or consulting background
