Key Responsibilities
- Store Customization: Developing custom Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6, React/Angular and strong experience with Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- Exposure of headless commerce or modern frameworks like React.
- App Development & Integration: Creating custom Shopify apps and integrating third-party tools (e.g., Algolia, Klaviyo, loyalty apps).
- Performance Optimization: Improving store speed, core web vitals, and mobile experience.
- API Utilization: Working with Shopify Admin API and Storefront API (REST/GraphQL).
- Deployment & Maintenance: Managing version control with Git, conducting unit testing, and managing CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaboration: Working with UI/UX design teams and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Required Technical Skills
- 5+ years of experience in Shopify and Shopify Plus.
- Expertise in Liquid: Deep understanding of Shopify's templating language.
- Front-End & Back-end Proficiency: Strong skills in JavaScript (ES6+), Nodejs, React, HTML5, and CSS3.
- Exposure of headless commerce or modern frameworks like React.
- API Knowledge: Experience with Shopify Storefront API and GraphQL.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to debug theme errors and third-party app conflicts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Shopify Plus (highly desirable).
- Experience with Node.js, PHP, or Laravel for backend tasks.
- Prior experience in a consulting or client-facing environment.
