Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Shopify Developer based in Dubai, with flexibility for some work-from-home days. The Shopify Developer will design, develop, and maintain Shopify stores, including custom themes, templates, and front-end components. Daily tasks include configuring Shopify settings, integrating apps and third-party services, optimizing site performance, and ensuring mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, implementing UX/UI improvements, and collaborating with designers, marketers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into functional e-commerce features. The developer will also support ongoing updates, conduct code reviews, and follow best practices for security, SEO, and maintainable code.
Qualifications
- Strong Shopify development skills, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and Shopify APIs.
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
- Experience with e-commerce configuration, payment gateways, checkout flows, and app integrations within Shopify.
- Knowledge of performance optimization, basic technical SEO, and cross-browser/mobile compatibility practices.
- Ability to gather requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort with version control systems (e.g., Git) and standard development workflows.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in Shopify development or broader e-commerce platforms is highly beneficial.
