Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shopify Developer, based in Worli, Mumbai. The Shopify Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Shopify-based e-commerce platforms. Daily tasks will include creating and modifying themes, implementing custom features, integrating third-party tools, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including designers and project managers, to ensure high-quality delivery aligned with client objectives. The Shopify Developer will contribute to optimizing website performance, functionality, and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and customize Shopify themes and storefronts
- Build custom front-end components using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Implement responsive and high-performance UI across devices
- Integrate Shopify apps and third-party services
- Optimize website performance, loading speed, and UX
- Assist in implementing Headless Shopify architectures when required
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience in Shopify development
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- Experience in Shopify theme customization
- Experience integrating Shopify APIs and third-party apps
- Understanding of eCommerce UX and performance optimization
Good to Have
- Experience with Headless Shopify (Storefront API / Hydrogen)
- Knowledge of React or Next.js
- Experience building custom Shopify apps
- Familiarity with Shopify Plus
Preferred Candidate
- Has worked on live Shopify stores
- Can share portfolio or previous Shopify projects
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
