Job Description: Shopify Developer
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Shopify Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate must have in-depth knowledge of the Shopify platform, including theme customization and app development (Public, Custom, and Private apps). The candidate should be capable of understanding client requirements and translating them into scalable, high-performance Shopify solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Shopify Platform Expertise
• Strong hands-on experience with the Shopify ecosystem.
• Development and customization of Shopify Themes (custom themes and theme modifications).
• Experience in Public, Custom, and Private App Development.
• Understanding of Shopify APIs, Webhooks, and Shopify App Store requirements.
2. Theme Customization & Development
• Develop custom sections based on client requirements.
• Modify existing sections, snippets, templates, and theme assets.
• Analyze client requirements and implement scalable solutions.
• Optimize Liquid code structure and maintain clean architecture.
3. Frontend & Performance Optimization
• Moderate to strong knowledge of CSS for quick design adjustments and UI enhancements.
• Experience with store speed optimization techniques (lazy loading, asset optimization, script management, etc.).
• Knowledge of implementing custom pixels and tracking scripts.
4. Third-Party App & API Integration
• Experience integrating Shopify third-party apps.
• Ability to integrate external APIs such as Baby Name API, Prokerala API, Weather APIs, GST Validator APIs, and other custom APIs.
• Experience handling authentication, REST APIs, AJAX calls, and webhook integrations.
5. Server Setup & Deployment
• Experience in server setup and deployment of Shopify apps (Public, Custom, Private).
• Knowledge of hosting environments and deployment workflows.
• Understanding of version control systems (Git preferred).
6. Communication & Requirement Analysis
• Moderate communication skills.
• Ability to understand client-provided videos and written requirements.
• Comfortable participating in client calls when required.

The candidate must be proficient in using at least one of the following AI tools for development and productivity: ChatGPT, Claude.ai, Google Gemini, Cursor.ai, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT Codex.
The candidate should be able to leverage AI tools effectively for developing Shopify custom sections, third-party API integrations, custom/public/private app development, debugging, and optimization tasks.
Experience Required
• Minimum: 2–4+ years of experience in Shopify development.
• Proven experience with live Shopify stores and deployed applications.
