About the Role

We are looking for a mid to senior-level Shopify Developer who can architect, build, and optimize high-performance Shopify e-commerce stores. The ideal candidate will have strong experience across Shopify’s ecosystem, with a solid grasp of both front-end and back-end development.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop custom Shopify themes from scratch and customize existing marketplace themes based on business requirements
• Work extensively with Shopify REST APIs and Admin APIs to integrate external platforms (ERP, CRM, logistics, etc.)
• Build middleware solutions (Node.js, PHP, or Python) for seamless data synchronization between Shopify and third-party systems
• Implement and manage webhooks for handling complex e-commerce workflows such as order events, inventory updates, and customer lifecycle tracking
• Create responsive, high-quality UI components using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Liquid, and modern front-end libraries
• Set up and manage Shopify Plus / Advanced Shopify configurations and subscriptions
• Configure and manage e-commerce tracking (GA4, Facebook Pixel, Google Tag Manager) for key events like add-to-cart, checkout, and conversions
• Optimize website performance, speed, and responsiveness across devices
• Use Git and version control systems for efficient code management
• Collaborate with designers, project managers, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in the Shopify platform, including Liquid templating and theme architecture
• Hands-on experience with Shopify REST API, Admin API, and Shopify CLI
• Experience with Shopify app integrations and custom app development
• Proven experience in building middleware using Node.js / PHP / Python
• Strong understanding of webhooks and real-time data handling
• Ability to manage Shopify Payments, multi-currency setups, tax configurations, and shipping rules
• Deep knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and libraries like jQuery
• Familiarity with Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and documentation skills

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with Shopify Hydrogen / Oxygen
• Familiarity with Shopify Plus enterprise features
• Integration experience with platforms like SAP, Zoho, NetSuite, Salesforce, or custom ERPs
• Knowledge of Metafields, App Bridge, and Storefront API
• Experience with Shopify subscription tools (Recharge, Bold, Loop, etc.)
• Understanding of Headless Shopify and JAMstack architecture
