Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Shopify Developer. The Shopify Developer will build, customize, and maintain Shopify stores, including theming, front-end development, and app integrations. Day-to-day tasks include implementing responsive UI components, optimizing site performance, configuring Shopify settings, and ensuring a consistent brand experience across devices. The role involves troubleshooting issues, collaborating with designers and project managers, and translating business requirements into technical solutions. The Shopify Developer will also support ongoing improvements, test new features, and follow best practices for accessibility, security, and maintainable code.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Shopify development skills, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and Shopify app configuration.
- Candidates should possess front-end web development skills, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design techniques.
- Candidates should possess skills in performance optimization, cross-browser testing, and debugging front-end and Shopify-related issues.
- Candidates should possess skills in collaborating with designers and stakeholders, interpreting mockups, and translating UX requirements into functional layouts.
- Candidates should possess skills in version control (e.g., Git) and working within a structured development workflow.
- Experience with Shopify Plus, headless commerce, or APIs (REST/GraphQL) is beneficial.
- Experience with eCommerce best practices, SEO fundamentals, and analytics tools is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment are required.
- A relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in web development or related fields is preferred.
