Being a Shopify Intern:

Our hiring process is unique. We match interns to teams we think they’d be successful in and what works best for Shopify. We’re looking for:

• Applied Machine Learning Engineers to use extensive data to build products and create and fine-tune ML models.
• Infrastructure Engineers to build and develop the blocks that move all of Shopify forward.
• Security Engineers to detect, evaluate, and address security threats to Shopify and its merchants.
• Software Engineers to craft the code that powers commerce, creating the extendable products that scale the entire commerce stack.
• Shopify is a big part of the Ruby and Rails communities, and we’re constantly improving our codebase to make it even better. You do not need prior Rails experience to apply to this Internship!
  
  
  

Working at Shopify:

• You must be legally entitled to work in Canada for the entire duration of the Winter 2026 internship (January 5th to April 24th, 2026). Shopify does not provide immigration support to intern candidates at this time.
• Our internships are 4 month long, full-time, paid experiences.
• As an Intern you must be able to work from one of our three offices: Montréal (490 Rue De la Gauchetière O), Ottawa (151 O’Connor Street), or Toronto (620 King West).
  
  
  

Please note: if you don’t currently live in Montréal, Ottawa, or Toronto, you must be willing and able to relocate for in-office experiences to the closest Shopify office to you. If successful in your application, we will match you to a team when you start at Shopify. We’re unable to accommodate requests for particular teams and location changes once an offer is signed.

Onboarding:

• Interns must be located in their office city by the first day of Onboarding (January 5th) ready to work 9:00am - 5:00pm. You can’t work from outside Canada.

Être stagiaire chez Shopify :

Notre processus de recrutement est unique. Nous affectons les stagiaires aux équipes qui leur correspondent le mieux et qui répondent aux besoins de Shopify. Nous recherchons des :

• Ingénieur(e)s en infrastructure pour construire et développer les bases qui soutiennent toute la plateforme Shopify.
• Ingénieur(e)s en sécurité pour détecter, analyser et résoudre les menaces de sécurité pesant sur Shopify et sur ses marchands.
• Ingénieur(e)s logiciel pour créer le code au cœur du commerce, en développant des produits évolutifs qui structurent toute la stack e-commerce.
• Shopify joue un rôle majeur dans les communautés Ruby et Rails, et nous améliorons continuellement notre codebase pour le rendre toujours plus performant. Pas besoin d’avoir déjà travaillé avec Rails pour postuler à ce stage !
  
  
  

Travailler chez Shopify :

• Vous devez être légalement autorisé à travailler au Canada ou aux États-Unis pendant toute la durée du stage d’hiver 2026 (du 5 janvier au 24 avril 2026). Shopify ne propose pas de soutien en matière d’immigration pour les stagiaires à ce jour.
• Nos stages sont des expériences rémunérées à temps plein d’une durée de 4 mois.
• En tant que stagiaire, vous devez être en mesure de travailler depuis l’un de nos quatre bureaux : Bellevue, Washington (1100 112th Ave NE), Montréal (490 Rue De la Gauchetière O), Ottawa (150 O’Connor Street) ou Toronto (620 King West).
  
  
  

Remarque : si vous ne résidez pas actuellement à Bellevue, Montréal, Ottawa ou Toronto, vous devez être disposé(e) à déménager et en mesure de le faire pour vous rendre au bureau Shopify le plus proche de chez vous afin d'y acquérir de l’expérience. Si votre candidature est retenue, nous vous affecterons à une équipe dès votre arrivée chez Shopify. Nous ne pourrons pas accepter de demandes de changement d’équipe ou de bureau une fois l’offre signée.

Intégration :

• Les stagiaires doivent être présents dans leur ville de travail dès le premier jour de leur intégration (le 5 janvier) et être prêts à travailler de 9 h à 17 h. Vous ne pouvez pas travailler en dehors du lieu prévu dans votre contrat (Canada ou États-Unis).
