About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Full-Stack Shopify App Developer to join our dynamic product team. In this role, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and maintaining high-quality Shopify applications that are relied upon by real merchants daily. Unlike traditional development roles, this position offers ownership of entire product features—from understanding merchant needs and translating them into technical solutions to writing clean, scalable code and monitoring performance in live environments. You will work closely with product managers and merchants to iterate rapidly, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure our apps operate seamlessly at scale. Qualifications
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience in Node.js and React.
- Experience shipping and maintaining production Shopify apps with a proven track record of handling live merchant environments.
- Strong understanding of the Shopify ecosystem, including the Admin API (GraphQL/webhooks), OAuth, and merchant workflows.
- Familiarity with database management and ORM tools such as Prisma.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code with clear documentation and comments.
- Excellent debugging skills, capable of independently diagnosing and resolving production issues across the full stack.
- Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments is a plus.
- Knowledge of ecommerce operations, merchant pain points, and D2C workflows is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy full-stack Shopify app features, including UI components, backend services, and integrations.
- Manage secure OAuth flows, merchant session handling, and permission scopes to ensure data privacy and security.
- Build robust backend systems in Node.js/TypeScript for webhook processing, scheduled jobs, and background tasks.
- Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle—from initial concept, through development, to post-launch maintenance.
- Ship updates to production environments, ensuring smooth deployment and minimal downtime for merchants.
- Monitor app performance, troubleshoot bugs, and implement fixes based on merchant feedback and logs.
- Optimize app scalability to handle high volumes of orders, webhooks, and inventory updates reliably.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and merchants to understand needs, propose technical solutions, and iterate based on real-world feedback.
