Role: Shipping Market Researcher
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Researcher to support our provision of intelligence on the global shipping markets. The role involves gathering, handling and interpreting data, monitoring industry developments to identify trends, and contributing to our range of published reports and analysis. The role offers the ability to develop expertise in a dynamic industry that sits at the heart of the world economy.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collect, clean and analyse source data
- Identify important trends and factors evolving in the shipping markets
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on key market topics, such as seaborne trade, freight and commodities, the shipbuilding industry, and fleet.
- Contribute to regular intelligence reports and topical analysis
- Stay up to date with industry developments and broader global economic and geopolitical trends
You’ll need to have:
- A degree (or equivalent qualification) with an analytical or economics focus
- Interest in working with data, with basic Excel skills essential
- Interest in the global economy and geopolitics
- Attention to detail, self-motivation and good organisational skills
- Strong communication skills, with fluency in spoken and written English essential.
- Previous experience in a research or data role, or in the shipping industry, would be an advantage, though is not essential.
Details:
- Salary: INR 9-10 lakh per annum, depending on experience.
- Location: Gurgaon
- Start date: Q2 / Q3 2026
- Vacancy type: Full-time, permanent post
