We are looking for a
Remote Ops Associate, who will be part of the Operations department . The Remote Ops Associate's primary function is to monitor, audit, and maintain the efficient and productive operation of LVK West facilities (YVR, SLC, LAS, and DFW). This role is key to ensuring that the facilities maintain all corporate-mandated policies, processes, and training and efficiently complete daily orders and projects while liaising between customer-facing and operations teams. This role involves facilitating the rollout of new and updated processes for warehouse teams and overseeing the implementation of new departmental workflows and objectives. Reporting to the National Director of Operations, the associate will work closely with all other operations team members to deliver exceptional customer support and clarity to customers and the support teams.
This position is a remote operations role for high-velocity fulfillment operations. Key departments are receiving, inventory management and control, same-day order fulfillment, and returns management. This position may require travel to all of the LVK facilities and international travel for our Canadian facilities.
A successful Remote Ops-Associate should thrive on people operations, training, process improvement, and flows, as well as information and data to support the operation with a sense of urgency and purpose while enjoying working with a prominent level of technology.
Responsibilities: This position will be the initial point person for the facilities and the CS teams for process clarification and training, escalating to the NDO when necessary. They will also manage the relationship between the internal departments of LVK’s freight and specialty teams (HACCP, Hazmat, safety, etc.) and the operations team through the consistent use of email, Slack, Zendesk tickets, and video calls with the internal teams and occasionally customers.
- Effectively communicate warehouse capabilities and operational processes through all levels of the organization.
- Assist in frontline requests as they pertain to processes.
- Monitor workflows in the facilities to ensure compliance with the processes.
- Monitor the day-to-day operation of the LVK West facilities.
- Report all necessary data for the LVK West facilities .
- Communicate with internal LVK teams on processes when needed.
- Conduct on-site training and audits as needed.
- Be the operations liaison between the internal LVK teams and operations when needed.
- Help with process improvements within the warehouse through Kaizen and lean processing.
- Collaborate with the NDO and other departments for other tasks as needed.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities Of The Position
- Monitor and report operations data for LVK West facilities
- Audit and train management teams on new processes.
- Facilitate high-level training for LVK West facilities.
- Plan workflows for new carriers and other LVK internal teams.
- Effectively communicate with LVK internal teams related to processes.
Position Qualifications
- EDUCATION: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate degree is preferred.
- EXPERIENCE:
- At least 3 (three) years of related warehousing experience required.
- 1-2 (one to two) years of supervisory experience required.
- Experience in Warehousing Management, with knowledge of process improvement methods (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Methodology), and change management to pave the way for operational success.
- SKILLS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to write reports using Excel spreadsheets and learn the ShipHero dashboard.
- Ability to properly understand Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Excellent supervisory and people skills.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures.
- A sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems and issues.
- Thoroughly understand applicable federal and/or provincial laws and company safety policies.
- Understanding of freight and carrier requirements pertaining to delivery times, costs, and hazmat.
