Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Ship Captain based in Port Blair. The Ship Captain will oversee vessel operations, lead navigation, and ensure the safety of all passengers and crew on board. Key responsibilities include managing the crew, conducting routine checks, ensuring proper compliance with maritime regulations, creating effective travel and safety plans, and facilitating exceptional customer experiences. The role involves hands-on boat operations and coordinating with port authorities to maintain smooth operations.
Qualifications
- Expertise in Boating and operating boats with deep knowledge of navigation techniques
- Proven experience in Customer Service and training crew members for efficient service delivery
- Proficiency in Navigation and ability to operate vessels in accordance with maritime safety standards
- Relevant maritime certifications and licenses required for operating boats and ships
- Strong leadership and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Familiarity with the waterways and marine conditions in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands is an advantage
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
