Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Shift Manager - Continuous Caster, located in Raipur. The Shift Manager will oversee the execution of continuous casting operations, ensure optimal process efficiency, and implement production schedules. Responsibilities include managing shop-floor activities, maintaining safety and quality standards, supervising team members, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring minimal downtime during operations. Coordination with maintenance teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and adhering to company and industry-specific policies are also key aspects of the role.


Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of continuous casting processes, metallurgical principles, and steel production
  • Leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to guide and supervise a diverse workforce
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills for troubleshooting and optimizing operations
  • Experience in implementing safety and quality standards in industrial settings
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, process flow, and operational documentation
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Kaizen)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the steel or heavy manufacturing industry preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
