Job Purpose
This role is has responsibility for 24*7 Data Center Operations for MEP and IBMS infrastructure, Transformers, MV panels, DG, LT panels, UPS, Battery Banks, SMPS, PDU, DX cooling system , PAHU, Lightning arrestors, Earth Pits, Diesel Engines, CPM, VRF, Valves, VFD, Ventilation systems, Containment, FAS, Fire detection system, FSS, VESDA, WLD, RRS, PAS, CCTV etc…
Role Description
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of all MEP and BMS systems and manage shift /MEP technicians.
- Ensure continuous monitoring of critical equipment including chillers, UPS, transformers, switchgear, DG sets, CRAC/CRAH units, pumps, STP/RO systems, fire systems, etc.
- Ensure adherence to preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain real-time visibility of alarms/events on BMS/EPMS.
- Lead technicians/operators during the shift and distribute work responsibilities.
- Ensure audits, fire drills, and safety checks are completed as scheduled.
- Perform initial troubleshooting and escalation as per incident management protocols.
- Coordinate with OEM/vendor teams for emergency resolution.
- Lead shift-level outage management and ensure proper communication to stakeholders.
- Document incidents and assist in RCA preparation.
- Coordinate with OEMs/Vendors for routine PM and BM activities
- Coordinate with customer for day-to-day activities
- Responsible for daily/weekly/monthly reports to Management and customer
- Responsible to maintain process and implement ISO standards across functional area
- Coordination for periodic audits and compliance requirement
- Responsible for tracking and managing PUE & WUE of data center
- Supporting for execution of delivery and order extending MEP services
- Ensure operations strictly follow safety, SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and compliance standards (ISO/ISMS/OSHA).
- Support energy efficiency initiatives and capacity planning.
- Any other related assignment to ensure availability & uptime of datacenter services
Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma/BE/B-Tech in Electrical Engg/ Mechanical Engg. CDCP preferred
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: (no. of years of technical, functional, and/or leadership experience or specific exposure required)
- 5–10 years of experience in data center critical facility operations.
- Experience in handling multiple OEMs/Vendors related to MEPs
- Must have hands-on experience on handling DCIM/BMS /CCTV /ACCESS control and other security system
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Excellent problem identification and incident management skills
- Experience in shift handling and frontline troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of ISO/IEC, TIA‑942, and Uptime standards (preferred).
- On-call readiness for emergencies.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, 24×7 mission-critical environments.
