The position is responsible for overall day-to-day shift activities of the Production Engineering Department (PED), supporting production teams to achieve schedule adherence through effective troubleshooting in sub-assembly, welding, soldering, and performance testing processes, including PLC and PC-based machines. The role involves downtime monitoring with root cause analysis and corrective actions, productivity and cost improvement initiatives, manpower optimization through time study and line balancing, monthly capacity analysis and reporting, IHLR review, CLR and warranty rejection action implementation, try-out documentation for change management, sanction preparation for new equipment and spares, process revalidation and documentation (SMT, backend, and testing), QMS documentation as per IATF 16949, audit preparedness, and inter-unit technical support. The candidate should possess strong knowledge of ESD and IPC standards, various soldering processes (manual, wave, selective, and robotic), electronics manufacturing equipment programming, electronics components, and DFM feasibility, along with good communication skills, strong work ethic, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
