About the Team and the Role:
The Manufacturing team at Ather is responsible for ensuring availability of all plant and machineries required for daily operations and maintaining high standards through the SQCDM framework.
This role is for a Shift Incharge - Maintenance (Vehicle / Battery) - Mechanical who will lead maintenance associates, manage preventive maintenance schedules, and drive continuous improvement projects to ensure seamless production.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily maintenance operations, work allocation for associates, and execution of scheduled preventive maintenance activities.
- Manage spare parts availability, planning, and vendor negotiations to ensure zero line-stop situations.
- Monitor and analyze department KPIs (SQCDM), taking corrective actions and maintaining 100% adherence to operational standards.
- Ensure audit readiness for internal and external certifications (ISO) while maintaining high standards of workplace hygiene and 5S.
- Manage associate performance through evaluation, counseling, and competency framework development to maintain team morale.
- Lead change management processes (MQ1, SOR, DAP) and collaborate on MFMEA activities with cross-functional teams.
- Support machine installations, commissioning, and tool calibration in coordination with ME, PE, and Quality teams.
- Drive continuous improvement and plant machinery projects while supervising contractor work within the premises.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Required qualifications - B Tech
- Experience (no. of years) - 3 to 5 Years
Must Have Competencies:
- Demonstrate expert-level proficiency in managing machine preventive maintenance and executing complex breakdown maintenance.
- Utilize advanced analytical skills and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) to identify and mitigate operational risks.
- Lead technical team development and vendor management to optimize supplier performance and internal technical capabilities.
- Apply advanced PLC programming knowledge and data management using Google Sheets to track and improve maintenance metrics.
Good to have Competencies:
- Apply basic machine built capability and electrical program-related issue solving to support equipment maintenance.
- Utilize Six Sigma methodologies to identify process inefficiencies and drive data-backed improvements.
- Navigate and use SAP for resource planning and maintenance documentation.
- Manage and track maintenance stories and project tasks effectively through the JIRA platform.
