Role Description The Shift Engineer – Operation and Maintenance is a full-time, on-site role based in Daund. This position is responsible for monitoring and operating plant equipment, ensuring that renewable energy systems run safely, efficiently, and in accordance with operating procedures. The role includes performing routine and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment, identifying and resolving technical issues, and supporting maintenance schedules to minimize downtime. The Shift Engineer will coordinate with cross-functional teams, maintain accurate logs and reports of operations and maintenance activities, and adhere to all safety and environmental guidelines. The individual in this role will work in shifts to ensure continuous plant operations and reliable energy output.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve operational and equipment issues efficiently.
- Candidates should possess Preventive Maintenance and Maintenance Management skills to plan, execute, and optimize maintenance activities.
- Candidates should possess Electrical Engineering knowledge to work with plant electrical systems, equipment, and controls.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with team members, report issues, and follow instructions clearly.
- Relevant engineering degree or diploma (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, or Energy Engineering) and experience in industrial plant operation or maintenance.
- Understanding of safety standards, environmental regulations, and best practices in renewable or process industries.
- Ability to work in rotating shifts and in an on-site industrial environment, with attention to detail and reliability.
- Experience with biomass, biowaste, or renewable energy plants is an advantage.
