About the role
The role is based in TAS, Chennai within the Remote Monitoring Remote operations team under Production optimization vertical. The main responsibilities involve supporting Shell's CBM assets for Surveillance, Diagnostics, and Well-Optimization (surveillance element) activities remotely, interfacing with production engineers with defined workflows to get actions executed in field by operators. It is an extension of a Production engineering profile responsible to manage performance of wells and reduce downtime/ failures through daily exception-based surveillance using in house tools and PI Vision.
Carry out surveillance of Wells using EBS tools like Wells Tracker, PI etc. for Proactive Technical Monitoring.
Accountable for frontline wells and production systems monitoring via rule-based algorithm tools or manual monitoring.
Accountable for downhole failure identification and advise on well completion design change based on finding and analysis.
Responsible for well failure diagnostics and subsequent production optimization activities via Well Tracker
Support team with engineering recommendation and troubleshooting of identified anomalies.
Share and promote lessons learned opportunities that enhances monitoring for value.
Manage stakeholder's expectation with respect to the deliverables and KPIs in PTM.
Network with counterparts and other levels of organization across the different operating units, data centers and develop external networks outside of TAO and Shell.
