Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Sheet Metal Designer based in Gurugram. The Sheet Metal Designer will be responsible for designing and developing sheet metal components and assemblies while adhering to industry standards and client specifications. The role includes creating 3D models, preparing detailed engineering drawings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring design accuracy and manufacturability. The designer will also evaluate and improve design processes for better efficiency and product performance.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in sheet metal design, 3D modeling, and CAD software such as Solid Edge
- Ability to create and interpret detailed engineering drawings
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to sheet metal components
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize designs for manufacturing and cost efficiency
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Siemens Teamcenter or other Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tools is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality in design work
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field
