Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in the Delhi Area, focusing on Shear Thickening Fluids (STF) for Soft Protective Systems. The role involves leading the research and development of STF materials and their applications in protective textiles and systems. Daily responsibilities include conducting material experiments, analyzing results, and driving innovations to enhance the performance of protective gear. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams and will be expected to stay updated on the latest developments in the field of STF and technical textiles. Documentation of processes, testing, and results will also be an important part of this role.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Materials Science, Polymer Science, Mechanical, Textile or Chemical Engineering
- Proficiency in experimental research, data analysis, and reporting findings
- Hands-on experience with the development and testing of Shear Thickening Fluids or similar materials
- Knowledge of textile engineering and its applications in industries such as defense, medical, and industrial safety
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes related to protective textiles and garments
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
- Master's or Ph.D. preferred in a relevant field; prior experience in a related role will be advantageous
