Plant WD - Tufting Utility Relief I 2nd Shift

Position Overview

POSITION OBJECTIVE:   Serve the Tufting Department by making necessary blade rebuilds and blade changes. There will also be responsible for repairs and/or adjustments to yarn dollies, and minor repairs to creels.

I.          Essential Duties:

• Rebuild (jig) blade blocks
• Install Blade Blocks in tufting machine
• Remove Blades from the machine
• Make necessary repairs to Creels
• Clean and replace wheels on yarn dollies
• Preform housekeeping tasks for the department including painting
• Repair held tufting rolls as needed
• Splitting tufting rolls to meet customer requirements

Physical Requirements:

• Sit or stand intermittently for at least 8 hours
• Climb steps several times per day
• Walk through plant several times per day
• Withstand exposure to changes in both temperature and humidity
• Apply forces to tools necessary to accomplish the work
• Stand for at least 4 hours
• Bend, crawl & reach from a lying and upright position
• Lift up to 45 lbs

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
