Job Summery
We are looking for an experienced STP Operator to manage and operate Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) operations for Unit 1 & 2. The candidate will be responsible for daily plant operations, monitoring, maintenance coordination, housekeeping, safety compliance, and maintaining outlet parameters as per GPCB norms.
Key Responsibilty
- Operate and monitor STP plant activities on a daily basis.
- Maintain statutory logbooks and operational records.
- Record inlet and outlet readings daily.
- Monitor inlet and outlet flow systems.
- Check and operate electrical panels, pumps, motors, and blowers.
- Prepare chemical dosing as per system requirements.
- Perform backwash of filtration systems.
- Clean foot valves and strainers.
- Ensure proper aeration in the aeration chamber.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for breakdowns and preventive maintenance.
- Prepare breakdown and maintenance reports.
- Monitor tank levels periodically.
- Operate screw press machine.
- Maintain housekeeping standards in the STP area.
- Ensure STP outlet parameters comply with GPCB CTE & CTO regulations.
- Support monthly testing of STP inlet and outlet parameters.
- Follow PPE and safety compliance at all times.
- Work in shifts as per company requirements.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1+ year experience as an STP Operator.
- Knowledge of STP operations, pumps, blowers, dosing systems, and filtration systems.
- Understanding of GPCB norms and compliance requirements.
- Basic knowledge of electrical panels and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to maintain operational records and reports.
- Willingness to work in rotational/general shifts.

- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Team coordination and communication.
- Safety-focused approach.
- Discipline in documentation and reporting.
Addition Information:
- Weekly Off: One weekly off as per Engineering Department schedule.
- Leave Policy: As per company policy.
- PPE compliance is mandatory.
- Agency/vendor must ensure manpower availability and manage absenteeism.
