About the Department
The essential function of the position within the organization is to provide customer service support. The position is responsible for providing general services for the assigned department. The position works under direct supervision according to set procedures.
Position Duties
Assists customers by telephone and in person; provides routine information and answers customer questions regarding assigned area; transfers telephone calls to appropriate personnel as required.
Prepares departmental equipment for customer use; provides instruction to patrons on proper use of equipment; performs maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal functioning.
Provides requested service, such as ringing up sales for activities, equipment rental, passes, programs or refreshments, or taking and/or preparing food and drink orders.
Performs cleaning tasks for assigned area, such as sweeping floors and lanes, wiping tabletops, or cleaning cooking or eating areas; ensures compliance with federal health regulations.
Monitors customers to ensure conformance to departmental safety rules and regulations.
Attends staff meetings to exchange information.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: Education requirements refers to job specific training and education required for entry into the position.
High school diploma, GED, or vocational training preferred.
