Role Description We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Set Stylist & Visual Merchandiser to support our photography and video productions across interiors, architecture, hospitality, restaurants, products, and lifestyle brands. The ideal candidate should have a strong eye for aesthetics, composition, colours, textures, and storytelling, transforming ordinary spaces into visually compelling scenes.
Key Responsibilities
- Style interior, architecture, hospitality, restaurant, and product shoots.
- Plan and execute visual setups based on the brand's identity and creative brief.
- Source, arrange, and style props, décor, furnishings, table settings, and accessories.
- Create mood boards and styling references before every shoot.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, creative directors, and clients during production.
- Ensure every frame is aesthetically balanced and camera-ready.
- Research current interior, food styling, hospitality, and lifestyle trends.
- Maintain and organize the studio's styling inventory, props, and décor materials.
- Assist with art direction, composition, and shot planning during production.
- Adapt styling based on different brands while maintaining consistency with their visual language.
Requirements
- Background in Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, Styling, Fashion Communication, Fine Arts, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of colour theory, textures, materials, and spatial styling.
- Excellent aesthetic sense with knowledge of current design and social media trends.
- Ability to source props and think creatively within budgets.
- Familiarity with Pinterest, Milanote, Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or mood board creation tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work on-location and manage fast-paced shoots.
Preferred Skills
- Experience styling interior, furniture, hospitality, restaurant, or product shoots.
- Knowledge of furniture placement, food styling, table styling, and décor arrangement.
- Basic understanding of photography, camera angles, and lighting.
- Ability to work independently and make styling decisions on set.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who naturally notices the small details others miss—how a cushion is placed, how cutlery is arranged, how natural light interacts with a space, or how a product can be presented more beautifully. They should enjoy researching references, creating mood boards, sourcing styling elements, and bringing a creative vision to life on set.
