Position Summary
As a Services Associate, Firm Risk, Compliance, and Governance Services, you will support compliance activities that help the Deloitte organization meet regulatory and professional standards. This role is suited for professionals who are interested in risk, compliance, and independence processes and who can work effectively in a structured, fast-paced environment. You will collaborate with professionals across teams while helping maintain quality, accuracy, and consistency in compliance-related activities.
Work you'll do
As a Services Associate, Firm Risk, Compliance, and Governance Services on the Risk & Brand Protection team, you will be responsible for:
- Carrying out assigned tasks to support compliance with firm policies and professional standards across independence, compliance, and risk areas
- Coordinating with professionals and member firms to support compliance requirements and resolve routine matters
- Applying knowledge of policies and professional standards to identify, escalate, and resolve exceptions in a timely manner
- Supporting reviews of financial relationships, business proposals, and other compliance-related information for alignment with firm requirements
- Contributing to projects, process improvements, and development of best practices for the team
The team
This is an internal firm services position that supports member firms of the Deloitte organization in complying with various regulatory and professional compliance requirements:
- Ensure the quality, integrity, and completeness of data related to clients and related parties in various independence systems of the firm. Support engagement teams in complying with independence policies.
- Reviewing business proposals and relationships for potential conflicts of interest.
- Ensuring that all financial relationships held by Deloitte professionals and other compliance related information are accurately reported and are compliant with the firm’s policies.
- Reviewing and supporting the compliance of all Deloitte professionals (including their pre-hire screening) and their immediate family members with independence policies of the firm and with the independence rules of US regulatory and professional bodies such as AICPA, SEC and the PCAOB.
Location: Hyderabad
Shift Timings: 11 AM to 8 PM or 2 PM to 11 PM IST
Qualifications
Required:
- Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration, Master of Commerce, Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance), or a finance-related field
- 0-3 years of experience in compliance, risk, finance, independence, or similar support environments
- Knowledge of financial instruments such as equities, mutual funds, loans, and insurance products
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience using research tools such as Bloomberg or similar platforms
- Experience supporting work that involves confidential or sensitive information
Preferred:
- Experience in independence, regulatory compliance, or risk support within a professional services or audit environment
- Knowledge of independence requirements applicable to a professional services or audit firm
- Exposure to database tools or analytics applications
