Role Overview
The ServiceNow Administrator would be responsible for the day‑to‑day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of the ServiceNow platform. This role will ensure smooth operation of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes and collaborate with technical and business teams to enhance platform functionality.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Manage and maintain the ServiceNow platform, including user and group administration.
- Configure and customize forms, fields, workflows, business rules, UI policies, client scripts, and notifications.
- Monitor system performance, health, and integrations.
- Manage update sets, release upgrades, and patching activities.
ITSM Support
- Support ITSM modules such as Incident, Problem, Change, CMDB, Knowledge, and Service Catalog.
- Ensure data accuracy and CMDB integrity through regular audits and reconciliation.
Service Catalog & Workflow Management
- Develop and maintain service catalog items and fulfillment workflows.
- Automate processes using Flow Designer or Workflow Editor.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution
- Investigate, diagnose, and resolve platform issues and user queries.
- Collaborate with vendors, developers, and business teams to implement fixes and enhancements.
Reporting & Dashboards
- Create and maintain reports, performance analytics dashboards, and SLAs.
- Provide insights and analytics to stakeholders.
Security & Compliance
- Define and manage roles, ACLs, and platform access controls.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL practices, audit requirements, and organizational security standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Administrator.
- Expertise in ServiceNow ITSM modules.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and UI policies.
- Ability to manage update sets and platform upgrades.
- Familiarity with REST/SOAP integrations.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) – strongly preferred.
- Additional ServiceNow certifications (ITSM, Discovery, CMDB, HRSD, etc.).
- Experience in JavaScript, AngularJS, HTML, and ITSM best practices.
