Overview of Job Function:
We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Senior Developer with a strong development
background and hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure and automation. This role requires
expertise in Javascript, Server and Client Scripting, along with knowledge of cloud-native
technologies and automation frameworks. ServiceNow experience is a primary skill, candidates
must have hands-on exposure to ServiceNow workflows, CMDB, and ITSM processes and CSM
modules.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will be responsible for below duties.
Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:
● Development & Automation – Design and develop solutions for core CSM and ITSM
modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Request Management.
This includes advanced configuration of the Service Catalog, CMDB, and SLA/OLA
structures.designing, developing, and maintaining servicenow system.
● Write and maintain complex server-side and client-side scripts using JavaScript and
ServiceNow's Glide APIs (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and
UI Policies).
● Develop automated workflows and business logic using Flow Designer to streamline
both IT and customer service processes.
● User Experience (UX) Enhancement: Develop and customize Service Portals and
Workspaces (such as Service Operations Workspace) using modern web technologies
like HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
● ServiceNow Integration & Optimization – Support ITSM workflows, CMDB
enhancements, and cloud-based service automation using ServiceNow (secondary
focus).
● Performance Monitoring & Optimization – Utilize monitoring tools to track cloud service
health, identify inefficiencies, and optimize resources.
● IntegrationHub & Spokes: Leverage IntegrationHub and predefined spokes (e.g., Jira,
Microsoft Teams, Dynamics,AWS) to create low-code, event-driven workflows that
reduce development time.
● Secure Authentication: Implement and manage high-security authentication protocols,
including OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API keys, ensuring secure data exchange.
● Security & Compliance – Implement best practices for cloud security, access control, and
regulatory compliance.
● Cross-Team Collaboration – collaborate with Partner with DevOps, SREs and other tools
to improve automation and drive innovation.

Minimum Requirements:
● Advanced Scripting: Expert-level development of server-side (Script Includes, Business
Rules) and client-side (Client Scripts, UI Actions, UI Policies) logic using ServiceNow Glide
APIs and JavaScript.
● Core Module Mastery: Full lifecycle design and configuration for CSM and ITSM
modules, including Incident, Problem, Change, Knowledge, and Case Management.
● Workflow Automation: Engineering complex, event-driven business logic and
automated processes using Flow Designer.
● Service Architecture: Advanced configuration of the Service Catalog, SLA/OLA
structures, and CMDB enhancements to ensure data integrity.
● Integration Foundations: Building and maintaining robust integrations using
IntegrationHub, predefined Spokes (Jira, Teams, AWS), and custom REST/SOAP web
services.
● Secure Connectivity: Implementation of high-security authentication protocols including
OAuth 2.0, SAML, and API keys for all data exchanges.
● Security & Compliance: Enforcing platform security best practices, Access Control Lists
(ACLs), and regulatory compliance standards.
● Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
● Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and incident resolution skills.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with business and technical
stakeholders.
● ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CAD, CIS-ITSM)
Additional Requirements – Good to have:
● User Experience (UX): Development and customization of Service Portals and modern
Workspaces using HTML, CSS, and AngularJS.
● Performance Optimization: Utilizing monitoring tools to track system health, identify
code inefficiencies, and optimize platform resources.
● Cloud Operations: Supporting cloud-based service automation and cross-platform
resource optimization.
● Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator)
Qualifications
● Experience: Typically 5+ years of total ServiceNow development experience, with at
least 3 years specifically focused on ITSM and CSM implementations.
● Certifications:
● Certified System Administrator (CSA).
● Certified Application Developer (CAD).
● CIS-ITSM and CIS-CSM (highly desirable for senior roles).
● Knowledge: Deep understanding of ITIL v3/v4 frameworks and the Common Service
Data Model (CSDM)
