Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with hands-on experience in Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ServiceNow Discovery, and Software Asset Management (SAM). The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in designing, developing, and implementing ServiceNow solutions while ensuring accurate configuration data, automated discovery processes, and effective software asset lifecycle management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and customize applications on the ServiceNow platform.
- Implement and maintain CMDB data models, CI classes, relationships, and governance.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize ServiceNow Discovery to automate infrastructure and application discovery.
- Develop and maintain Discovery schedules, MID Servers, credentials, and patterns.
- Implement and support ServiceNow Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities, including software normalization, licensing, compliance, and reclamation.
- Create and customize workflows, Flow Designer flows, business rules, client scripts, UI policies, UI actions, and script includes.
- Develop integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and IntegrationHub.
- Build reports and dashboards for CMDB health, Discovery status, and software compliance.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, asset management, and application teams to ensure CMDB data accuracy.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, deployment, and production support activities.
- Follow ServiceNow development best practices and governance standards.
Required Skills
- Strong experience in ServiceNow platform development.
- Hands-on expertise in:
- Configuration Management Database (CMDB)
- ServiceNow Discovery
- Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Experience with JavaScript, Glide API, and ServiceNow scripting.
- Strong knowledge of Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, UI Policies, UI Actions, and Flow Designer.
- Experience with IntegrationHub, REST APIs, and SOAP web services.
- Knowledge of MID Server installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of CMDB Health, Identification and Reconciliation Engine (IRE), and CSDM.
- Experience with Service Catalog and ITSM modules is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
