About The Role
We are hiring for a prominent global consulting client undergoing a significant ServiceNow transformation. The role focuses on developing a modern Employee Center, effectively a “portal of portals,” designed to unify HR, IT, and business services into a seamless digital experience. This position is ideal for a front-end and experience-focused ServiceNow professional who possesses a strong understanding of UI development and user-centric design principles. The successful candidate will be instrumental in building high-quality, intuitive portals and guided workflows, leveraging UI Builder, Portal development, Flows, and Playbooks to enhance user engagement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have extensive hands-on experience with ServiceNow portals and UI development tools, including ServiceNow UI Builder and Employee Center. Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with a preference for Angular or AngularJS, is essential. Experience with Flow Designer, including creating flows and subflows, is mandatory. Familiarity with ServiceNow Playbooks, particularly within CSM and HRSD modules, is required. Additionally, knowledge of REST APIs and integrations to connect ServiceNow with other systems is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders to translate requirements into effective solutions are critical. A basic understanding of UX principles and exposure to portal modernization or migration projects will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop ServiceNow Portals, Employee Center, and UI Builder workspaces that are responsive and user-friendly.
- Create intuitive and visually appealing UI components using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular/AngularJS.
- Develop and manage catalog items, record producers, and portal pages to facilitate seamless user interactions.
- Utilize Flow Designer to create and manage flows and subflows that support complex business processes.
- Design and implement ServiceNow Playbooks to enable structured case handling and automation workflows.
- Customize widgets, components, and pages to enhance the overall user experience and portal functionality.
- Collaborate closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective portal solutions.
- Ensure the performance, scalability, and usability of portal solutions through rigorous testing and optimization.
