Roles and Responsibilities
- Portal Testing: Design and execute functional, UI, and regression test cases specifically for the ServiceNow Service Portal, focusing on custom widgets, AngularJS components, and responsive design (mobile/web).
- ATF Automation: Use ServiceNow’s Automated Test Framework (ATF) to create, maintain, and run automated test suites, particularly for regression testing after platform upgrades or changes.
- Integration Testing: Test integrations between the Service Portal and backend modules (e.g., ITSM, HRSD, CSM) using APIs.
- Defect Management: Identify, document, and track bugs to resolution using tools like JIRA, working closely with developers and UX designers.
- User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Coordinate and support UAT sessions, ensuring the portal meets business requirements and user experience standards.
- Performance Testing: Validate portal speed and loading times to ensure high performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 3-8+ years of experience in ServiceNow testing, with a strong focus on Service Portal.
- ServiceNow Knowledge: In-depth understanding of ServiceNow Service Portal framework, widgets, AngularJS, Bootstrap, and UI components.
- Automation: Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow ATF (Automated Test Framework).
- Scripting: Knowledge of JavaScript, Glide scripting, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Testing Methodologies: Solid knowledge of STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle) and defect management best practices.
- Communication: Excellent analytical and communication skills to collaborate with developers and stakeholders.
