Role Description
The Service Manager will lead end-to-end after-sales service, technical support, and field service operations for EIONIC drone batteries. This role ensures high battery performance, customer satisfaction, compliance, and service excellence across agri, industrial, and commercial drone segments.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Service & Support:
• Manage after-sales service operations for lithium-ion / solid-state drone batteries.
• Diagnose and resolve battery performance issues including BMS faults, cell imbalance, thermal issues, and charging failures.
• Support customers with battery installation, usage guidelines, safety protocols, and maintenance.
• Review and approve battery RMA, repair, refurbishment, and replacement cases.
Field Service Management:
• Lead and coordinate field service engineers and service partners across regions.
• Conduct on-site battery inspections, endurance checks, and failure analysis when required.
• Develop and monitor service SLAs, TAT, and resolution KPIs.
Customer & OEM Coordination:
• Act as the primary service interface for drone OEMs, dealers, and enterprise customers.
• Handle escalations from key customers and institutional accounts.
• Provide technical feedback to sales and product teams.
Quality, Compliance & Documentation:
• Ensure compliance with DGCA, BIS, UN38.3, IEC, and safety standards.
• Maintain service records, failure reports, and root cause analysis (RCA).
• Support audits, certifications, and customer technical evaluations.
Process Improvement & Training:
• Develop service SOPs, troubleshooting manuals, and workflows.
• Train dealers, service partners, and internal teams.
• Drive continuous improvement in battery reliability and lifecycle performance.
Required Skills:
• Strong knowledge of lithium-ion battery systems, BMS, charging algorithms, and thermal management.
• Hands-on experience with high C-rate drone batteries (12S and above).
• Ability to analyze battery test data and diagnostic logs.
• Strong customer handling and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Energy Engineering Aerospace/Aeronautical engineering .
• Minimum 5 years of experience in drone battery or advanced energy storage service roles.
Key Performance Indicators:
• Service turnaround time (TAT)
• First-time resolution rate
• Battery failure rate reduction
• Customer satisfaction score (CSAT) & Service partner performances.
