Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service Engineer - DG Sets in the Pune/Pimpri-Chinchwad Area. The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting field service visits, performing troubleshooting, handling technical support, and ensuring the maintenance and repair of DG sets. Additional responsibilities include ensuring optimal genset performance, diagnosing and resolving faults, and maintaining service records.
- DG panel wiring and control panel troubleshooting.
- Cable laying, termination, and earthing work.
- Changeover switch / AMF panel connection.
- Battery charger, alternator, AVR checking.
- Electrical safety checks and insulation testing.
- Maintenance of lighting and power systems related to DG setup.
- Routine servicing and preventive maintenance of Diesel Generator sets.
- Engine oil change, filter replacement, coolant check, battery check.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in DG sets.
- Breakdown attendance at customer sites.
- Load testing and performance checking of DG sets.
- Maintain service reports and customer signatures.
- Installation and commissioning of new DG sets.
Qualifications
- Experience in Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with DG sets and power equipment.
- Proficiency in Field Service and on-site diagnostics for installation, servicing, and repair.
- Strong Technical Support capabilities for addressing client concerns and providing resolutions.
- Skilled in Maintenance & Repair of diesel generator sets and related equipment.
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering diploma/degree or equivalent vocational qualification preferred.
- Prior experience with DG sets or related technical equipment in industrial applications is an advantage.
- Problem-solving ability, organizational skills, and willingness to travel as required for field service.
