Role Description The Service Engineer – AWP/MEWP is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal -Madhya Pradesh , responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of aerial work platforms . Day-to-day activities include performing diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, conducting routine and preventive maintenance, and executing repairs according to safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. The role involves visiting client sites, performing field service activities, documenting service reports, and coordinating with the service team to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. The Service Engineer will also provide technical support and guidance to clients, communicate clearly about equipment status and recommendations, and contribute to continuous improvement of service processes.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in AWP/MEWP and lifting equipment.
- Advanced troubleshooting of hydraulic pumps, valves, and electrical control circuits.
- Executing scheduled inspections, load testing, and calibration.
- Rapid on-site breakdown resolution to maximize fleet utilization.
- Proficient in ANSI A92/CSA standards and OSHA regulations.
- Manage maintenance for over 50 diesel and electric boom lifts.
- Basic Knowledge of hoses, Lead -Acid batteries, Li-on Batteries and hydraulic systems.
- Utilize digital multimeters and proprietary diagnostic software to isolate electrical faults.
- Overhaul hydraulic cylinders, drive motors, and internal combustion engines.
- Conduct handover familiarisation and basic safety briefings for site operators.
- Improved regional fleet readiness by 15% through proactive maintenance scheduling.
Field Service Knowledge
- Responded to urgent field service calls across construction and industrial sites.
- Performed mandatory annual structural and functional safety inspections.
- Always ready to carry diagnostic /troubleshooting module along with required tools.
- Completed digital service reports, warranty claims, and parts ordering logs accurately.
- Ready to travel at least 60% of the time remotely.
Educational Qualification
Diploma / Degree: Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
