Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Service Engineer role based in Chennai. The Service Engineer will be responsible for installing, commissioning, maintaining, and repairing company equipment at customer locations. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and providing timely field service and technical support. The role involves preparing service reports, coordinating with the internal technical and logistics teams, and communicating clearly with customers about findings, resolutions, and best practices. The Service Engineer is expected to follow safety procedures, adhere to company standards, and support continuous improvement of service processes.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
- Candidates should possess Field Service experience, including on-site visits, customer interaction, and service documentation.
- Candidates should possess Maintenance & Repair skills for performing preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and quality checks.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for collaborating with teams and supporting customers.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, electronics, or related discipline) is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of safety standards and ability to work with tools, instruments, and technical manuals.
- Ability to travel within the region as required and manage work independently at customer sites.
- Prior experience in industrial equipment, machinery, or similar service engineering roles is an advantage.
